S73 Downhole Sacrificial Anode
The S73 is designed as a 4 foot 2-7/8" EUE sacrificial anode made up of specific aluminum alloy that becomes anodic within an electrolyte and protects the more noble metals. The more active metal (S73 Sacrificial anode) within the electrolyte corrodes and is consumed at a faster rate while protecting the more noble metals (Downhole equipment) from corrosion concerns. The S73 sacrificial anode is installed downhole below the no-turn tool and is simple and effective product that will help clients eliminate premature failures and extend the operating life of the downhole assets.

PJ89 Downhole Sacrificial Anode
The PJ89 is designed as 6 foot x 3-1/2" EUE sacrificial anode that meets all required API standards. These sacrificial anodes are fabricated in a specific aluminum alloy coating allowing it to operate anodically within an electrolyte and provide protection to noble metals. The more active metal (PJ89 Sacrificial anode) within the electrolyte corrodes and is consumed at a faster rate while protecting the more noble metals (Downhole equipment) from corrosion concerns. This product is also designed specifically to be installed downhole where clients may require more aggressive protection in a localized area of concern. This product effectively mitigates corrosion concerns while extending the life of all associated downhole assets. (Patent pending)

Anodic Pony Rod
The 1” x 4-foot pony rod is cast with 2.75 lbs of specialized anode material, engineered to provide targeted downhole corrosion mitigation and extend equipment runtime. Designed to protect vital infrastructure by taking the corrosive hit so your noble tubing metals don't have to, this innovative product is backed by filed patents. Available Sizes: Currently stocked in 1” pins and 7/8” pins, with 1-1/4” pins actively in production. Performance Benefit: Eliminates premature downhole failures and reduces overall maintenance requirements. Custom Procurement: Like all Source Solutions products, sizing can be adjusted to meet your specific field requirements.
All products manufactured by Source Solutions can be adjusted in sizing in order to meet specific client needs depending on a variety of factors.
UNDERSTANDING DOWNHOLE
CORROSION MECHANISMS
Downhole assets face severe chemical and electrochemical threats. Our sacrificial anodes and cathodic protection solutions are designed to mitigate these primary forms of metal degradation:
Galvanic & Localized Corrosion (Pitting, Crevice, Filiform): Occurs when dissimilar metals or stagnant fluids interact, creating concentrated cavities or surface failures in downhole metals. (Mitigated by Sacrificial Aluminum Anodes) General & Environmental Degradation: Widespread chemical attacks driven by harsh downhole electrolytes, temperature shifts, fluid velocity (Flow-Assisted Corrosion), and mechanical vibration (Fretting). Metallurgical Vulnerabilities (Intergranular, De-Alloying, High-Temp): Microscopic corrosion targeting metal grain boundaries, selective element leaching (such as de-zincification), or high-temperature chemical reactions.
